Alphabet of Lines Definitions

It is important to visual "connect" with the different types of lines used on a blueprint or plan.  Here is a good presentation of that concept.

Working drawings and "blueprints" have an inherent "graphic" language that help to promote the "universal" nature of drawings themselves.  In other words, every line and even every line "weight" has meaning that is understood by all who have studied the craft of developing plans.  This page has three presentations to develp this thought starting with the definitions and then looking at lines in technical drawings as well as residential building plans.  Finally there is an assessment piece.
