What does an artist / architect consider as he ponders the design concepts of his creation?  Well, somewhere in his past, through an art class, he learned the elements of design that govern almost any artistic expression.  His expression is in his building.  Click on the picture to go over the initial artistic guildelines of an architect and artist.  

As you transition from the concepts that guide artistc expression into the world of architecture, you must be able to visualize these concepts in the world of building.  Often times this comes with experience and being able to see the end result of the design / buiild process where the concepts that appreared on paper, now are made real.  

As you view and study the great buildings and structures of the world you begin to embrace the culture of that time and the very essence of civilization as it has progressed. 

As the Architect continues to develop the project design while incorporating the desires of the owner, he encounters the various "code" requirements of the city they are planning to build in.  This is an early general introduction to some of the primary concerns that are found in a typical city building code.
