Planning to Build

The idea of planning a project begins with just that----an idea.  Usually an idea that is born of necessity rather than desire.  The needs of the owner are discussed with the architect and the builder.  This triumvirate of thought becomes the foundation for the building process.  Each individual brings their unique talents and perspectives to the project.

This process is a project within the project as each individual involved brings his expertise in a  collaborative work effort that facilitates the timely construction of the project.  Sometimes this journey of building is long, arduous and frustrating-----a challenge at every turn---and certainly at every change.  And boy, do building projects change!  Click on each picture and read the article that describes the role of the architect and builder or "general contractor in the planning and building stages of a construction project.
